Akankhito's Blog: Passage to Me
http://ipsitar.blogspot.com/2007/04/passage-to-me.html
Of things that bug, puzzle, excite, amaze and inspire me. Tuesday, April 17, 2007. A whirlwind trip it was. First to India. Bombay. Land of rickety "volvo" buses, rustic rest stops, deep fried samosas, and high inducing too-strong chai. Bisleri or Sada pani, Maam? London. Everything seemed squished up and a little bit taller, except the people, as N said. Georgeous accents that made me want to swoon, just this once (the melodramatist in me, you understand, despite how hard I try to deny it), and ...I'm s...

Asif's Panju Blog: December 2005

Sunday, December 18, 2005. Why Are We here? Some people strive to achieve wealth, power and privilege. What is the point of all that if one does not leave a legacy behind? Something that says that you made a difference in even one person's life other than your own? That, is my goal and hopefully that is why I am here. Posted by Asif at 10:58 PM. Akankhito's Blog: "New Woman" Not So New Anymore
http://ipsitar.blogspot.com/2006/10/new-woman-not-so-new-anymore.html
Of things that bug, puzzle, excite, amaze and inspire me. Monday, October 02, 2006. New Woman" Not So New Anymore. S's moved to Ottawa. It's tough but the thought that I'm going to be there soon makes it easier to bear. I hesitatingly brought up the subject of moving there to my parents, and once again they surprised me with their coolness with the whole deal. Sometimes I want to ask them, are you guys sure you're brown, like are you sure you're cool with this? It's also sad that we've yet to reach a tim...

Asif's Panju Blog: May 2006

Tuesday, May 23, 2006. Karma's a b* *h. So she orders herself a drink, and then we order some appetizers. Well, we start on the appetizers, she eats up more or less both the appetizers, of course my own appetite is slowly going down the drain, as I start contemplating the bill that is quickly hitting the stratosphere, now she's not only eating off her own plate, but finishes up the remainder of the food on mine! Anyway, end result, I am left with a $320 bill. The redeeming factor? View my complete profile.

Asif's Panju Blog: November 2005
http://panjublog.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 23, 2005. The race begins now. The race begins now Wednesday 956AM, PST. Posted by Asif at 9:54 AM. Monday, November 21, 2005. Took my mom out sight seeing yesterday. We went up to Mount Soledad and Point Loma Lighthouse. From the top of Mount Soledad you get the most beautiful view of San Diego, the beach on one side, La Jolla, downtown San Diego on the other, even Mexico! And then off to Tennesse, which I suppose was not too bad, if you consider my two year exile in Arkansas. The fi...

Asif's Panju Blog: January 2006
http://panjublog.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 25, 2006. Back to Life. Back to Reality. So I am finally back from Dhaka. Been recuperating from my long trip the past couple of days. Dhaka was refreshing to say the least. And now I no longer feel like doing any work here for my day job! Absolutely negative motivation. Will be posting my Dhaka experience shortly. Suffice to say, Bangladesh has changed a lot since I last went there 10 years ago, plenty of positive changes, and a few areas that need some major rectification.

Asif's Panju Blog: July 2006
http://panjublog.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 03, 2006. So earlier today, while driving down to my office, I put in a CD that I'd never really listened to before. It happened to be a compilations of old Bangla songs. The words of the song went something like this:. Hoito kichui nahi pabo. Tobu o tomai ami duur hote bhalo beshe jabo. Hoito kichui nahi pabo". This literally means,. Perhaps I will get nothing in return. But I will continue to love you from afar". Posted by Asif at 12:30 PM. View my complete profile. Ipshita's La Li Li La La.
