Muddy Vines: October 2010
http://muddyvines.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 14, 2010. Been off the bike for a few years. What better way to get back into it than a short trail ride in the vineyards. From the top of the trail you almost have a 360 view of the Winelands and in the distance you can see Cape Town and Table Mountain. On the trail at Dirtopia - Klapmuts. Beautiful views from the top. Rest at the top. Little ducks in a row. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Muddy Vines: Helderberg Farm Trail
http://muddyvines.blogspot.com/2011/03/helderberg-farm-trail.html
Saturday, March 12, 2011. After a bit of tar, we were off on the dirt again. This time just around the corner from our house - Helderberg Farm Trail. We did the Red route, but got lost a few times due to ill marked trail splits here and there. But all and all , we had lost of fun and the view was breath taking. - May 2010. The entrance to the trail. First leg cycling leisurely through the forest. Was raining the previous day, so lots of mud. Table Mountain in the back ground. View from the top.

Muddy Vines: May 2011
http://muddyvines.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 11, 2011. After we exercised a bit more, we decided we were man enough to do the Lebanon Trail in Elgin. Reception / Permit office. We started far behind those trees in the back ground. And we hit the woods. Need to rest, quite a climb. Out of the woods and on the "Vlakte". Back in the wood for a bit. Near the finish, last leg next to apple trees (in bloom). All and all, it was a tough ride with some of the most beautiful scenery - definitely doing this one again. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Muddy Vines: Dirtopia - 15km
http://muddyvines.blogspot.com/2011/04/dirtopia-15km.html
Wednesday, April 13, 2011. So we practices a bit on tar and other mtb routes and decided it was time for the 15km at Dirtopia - How bad can it be? Half way up the "Kop". Well, we were struggling up the steep climbs the first 7km, but once we reached the top, the view was stunning. Going down the technical single track with views of Table Mountain and the Winelands was exhilarating and around the one bend I bought some land ( hard fall). Luckily just a few scrapes and we were off again.
