En dan nadert de dag dat ik terug vlieg naar. Met nog een laatste zeildag voor de boeg varen we van. De wind is iets afgenomen en de regen ingewisseld voor de zon. Het wordt een heerlijke laatste zeildag en die zou niet compleet zijn zonder een visje op de barbie. Het duurt dan ook niet lang voordat de molen hevig begint te ratelen en de hengel als een hoepel zo krom staat! Beter bekend als Bonito. Iets minder van smaak dan de andere. Exemplaren maar nog steeds prima te eten. Heb opgedaan aan Gerrit-Jan.

Als ik na een paar uur slaap weer “op mijn post” kom, varen we net onder de kust van het eiland. Voor ons komt langzaam de zon op, het lijkt wel alsof het. In brand staat. Om ons heen slaan de golven op het rif kapot maar recht voor ons ligt de betonde. Net als we de doorgang in het rif passeren en de grote lagoon binnen varen begint de vismolen luid te ratelen: beet! De vechter geeft zich niet zomaar gewonnen maar beetje bij beetje krijgen we hem binnengehengeld en we landen een prachtige Bluefin Tuna.
