The Travels of Mystique. Saturday, May 23, 2009. Chacala Bay is 21 miles S of San Blas, MX. This was our 1st stop as we left Puerto Vallarta. After meeting up with R Dreams again in Puerto Vallarta we agreed to buddy boat all the way home to San Carlos together. The Travels of Mystique. Wednesday, May 28, 2008. We stayed in Simpson Bay Lagoon on the Dutch side things are much cheaper on this side of the island. This side caters to the boaters with shipyards and any boat supplies that you can think of you can find it here. The French side is just like being in France. I love the food and the shopping. The Travels of Mystique. Saturday, May 16, 2009. THE GOLDEN COAST OF MEXICO. The golden coast is from Cabo Corrientes to Manzanillo. In this area you can sail day trips and anchor by night. This makes it really nice for us while our auto pilot is still on vacation. There are pleasant bays and some really rolling and rough bays to sleep in. We have to take what we can get. The Travels of Mystique. Wednesday, April 1, 2009. At the marina we net up with two cruisers that we met before in Panama and were heading north also. In this part of Central America when heading north to Mexico we have to watch out for the Tehuantepec winds. People have to wait for a good weather window to pass the Tehuantepec.
