Wednesday, February 20, 2013. Feb 18, 2013 Armed Robbers in Caleta de Campos! We were not robbed, but the vessel next to us was. At just before 2am, three young men with ski masks and one hand gun boarded the neighboring catamaran and pulled off this robbery in an amateurish manner. They took some valuables, cash, liquor and "stupid stuff" according to the captain of S/C Moontide. No one was hurt. We left the next morning for Manzanillo, leaving Moontide. The Adventures of S/V Jupiter's Smile: Not Looking So Good - Barb's ordeal
http://jupiterssmile.blogspot.com/2015/05/not-looking-so-good-barbs-ordeal.html
Thursday, May 21, 2015. Not Looking So Good - Barb's ordeal. In the previous Blog post (Google search "Jupiter's Smile") about our engine woes, on March 20th I alluded to another topic. It covers about a three month-long period of time. Here it is. No comment please, this is serious. I know, you think you know where my head was, but no, it wasn't up there (this time). We are now noticing how many expressions in language have references to sight. See what I mean? Barb's flight and arrival home went well a...

http://jupiterssmile.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 31, 2012. Costa Rica - Golfito to Bahia Santa Elena. The conditions were such that we mostly motored and we spotted the town of Playa del Coco, where we would clear out of Costa Rica, but we also wanted to get fuel at the Marina Papagayo. We crossed the mouth of Bahia de Culebra where the marina is located and settled into a sweet little cove off. Forgotten, but where? A sailboat could reach the border of Nicaragua 55 miles away in 12 hours in ideal conditions, but we weren't! We enjoyed...

Sunday, February 1, 2015. Health care in Mexico and a friend. At the end of our dock is a mega yacht, Invader. Does this story sound much different from healthcare in the USA. I don’t think so. I have every confidence that should Barb or I need attention that we could rush back to the US, but probably wouldn’t. Of course, that would depend on our insurance coverage . immediately!
