O'Day Tempest 23' Restoration. How it started for me. Truth be told, I really liked the lines of the boat and figured even if I needed to do more than simple TLC, she'd be worth the risk. Two and half years later, I finally sailed her just yesterday. This website will be about my story and, like the old website before it, will hopefully help those looking to save the O'Day Tempest 23'.

O'Day Tempest 23' Restoration. Transferring the boat from one trailer to the other. In the Travel Lift. X Pick up the boat. X Transfer from Sturgeon Bay to Oshkosh. X Transfer to Cradle. Picking up the boat was an experience. It had been on the a trailer for a few years and we needed to transfer it to the trailer we were using with roller bars and a winch. The keel as she stood when I bought her. A year after grinding out the old repair and apply 360R. Fairing compound added, time to get to sanding!

Almost 3 years after I started building, my Single Handed Schooner is finished. I launched her yesterday. No name yet, is that bad? It floats well, and handled the remains of Hurricane Ike without problems. Ive posted pictures of the launch here. I didnt actually go for a sail on launch day due to bad weather (rain, lightning).
