Community and Youth Activities. Saint John Lutheran Preschool. St John Lutheran Preschool is the crown jewel of the parish's outreach ministry. Our preschool is well known and respected throughout the Meriden-Wallingford area. St John Lutheran Preschool is licensed by the state of Connecticut. We are a parent co-op preschool. On a rotational basis, parents assist with class activities, and are asked to provide nutritional snacks for their assigned day. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Monday — Friday.

BSA Troop 43 is a large, active group that has been part of the St. John parish for many years. Contact Dave Wheeler at (203) 238-1101. Community and Youth Activities. Throughout the school year, the Sunday School meets with children of all ages from pre-school through high school. One of the most highly anticipated events of the year is the Sunday School Christmas pageant, in which they present the story of the birth of Christ, often in new, innovative ways. The Sunday School meets at 8:45 every Sunday morning during the school year. Contact Sunday School Superintendent Ellen Ness at (860) 621-7571. Confirmation Class of 2007.

Ministries" class="navlink" id="current" Music. Community and Youth Activities. St John offers several different musical groups, all of whom frequently participate in worship services:. The handbell choir always rings at Easter and Reformation services, and during the Advent season. They perform anthems, preludes, or offertories at other services throughout the school year as well. Two teams of E.M.'s serve Holy Communion to the sick and home-bound of St. John each month. Teams alternate so that no one has to serve more than six times per year.
