These Creases: The Emo Debate - A Mini Article
http://thesecreases.blogspot.com/2008/05/emo-debate-article.html
The Emo Debate - A Mini Article. It’s become a joke now that Emo. Is the new scourge of the music and fashion world; black and neon kaifs, skinny jeans and mascara abound and the same three chords have never in the history of radio been played so frequently on air. But why does this new fashion seem to upset so many people? I know my own reasons for my distaste, and I imagine that they are similar to those of others. Bars that they usually frequented. They were the kids who thought that Nickelback wa...

These Creases: Seinfeld VS Stephen King
http://thesecreases.blogspot.com/2011/04/seinfeld-vs-stephen-king.html
Seinfeld VS Stephen King. For those of you who prefer Dean Koontz. well, I guess I should be happy you can read at all. May I suggest a few more equally scintillating reads? That’s the one. So what do these two have in common? Why should they be involved in an epic, no-holds barred fight to the death? 8220;I see you’ve been hitting the good shit.”. Seinfeld accomplished every comedian’s dream – he turned talking about nothing into a career. This man took banality to a whole new level of b...He took this ...

These Creases: The Long Finger of the Law
http://thesecreases.blogspot.com/2011/01/long-finger-of-law.html
The Long Finger of the Law. Do you know what I love the most about Cape Town (aside from the barely contained social angst lurking behind the tanned smiles, bleached teeth and carefully lined eyes)? Granted, both my examples are set in the Eastern Cape, and one could argue that they have a valid reason behind their slip in services. All other provincial services have subsequently been put on hold. The Eastern Cape Premier takes science seriously. Other provinces, however, have little to no excuse. Xe...

These Creases: Justin Bieber will Destroy You, and Probably Me Too
http://thesecreases.blogspot.com/2011/06/justin-bieber-will-destroy-you-and.html
Justin Bieber will Destroy You, and Probably Me Too. Ok, so I came across this article. A little late, but the terrifying implications are in no way lessened by the passage of a few days. The hammer has been struck, the herald has tweeted, the sacrificial emo virgin has been set alight atop Island Def Jam studios. The Biebette army has cast its first stone. It looked like this. Unsurprisingly, Miss Kristopik was forced to close his twitter account, then burry his cellphone in an unmarked grave. Presu...

These Creases: Platypus 'Duos'
http://thesecreases.blogspot.com/2011/06/platypus-duos.html
What are the chances? A day after I post my epic ode to the Platypus. And I stumble upon the most irrefutable proof of their superiority, published by an organization only slightly less reputable than myself. As it turns out, the platypus has the capacity for both blood curdling violence and merciful healing. Yea, for with his webbed, venomous paw doth he both giveth and taketh away. 8220;Amen, bitches.”. 8221; before punching the screen, covering it with meat sauce and feeding it to my emergency wolveri...

These Creases: A Chamber of One - a little preview
http://thesecreases.blogspot.com/2008/06/chamber-of-one-little-preview.html
A Chamber of One - a little preview. The only thing I was lacking was the necessary format. So guess what? I am now in the possession of a printed and bound copy of my own novel (part 1). It was a surprisingly cool sensation. I expected it would be a bit of a gas, but when the printer handed me a fully printed and bound copy of my own work, the strangest thing happened: I felt like a real author. Crazy, I know. It just looked so much like a book. An excerpt from Chapter 2 - Friday: Dreams and Monsters).

http://thesecreases.blogspot.com/2011/07/vodacant-ball-numbing-black-hole-of.html
Vodacan’t: The Ball-Numbing Black Hole of Vodacom Customer Service. I will freely admit that I am at the mercy of my Vodacom contract. If it ain’t free, it ain’t mine. To illustrate my point, I give you this: in the world of iPhones, BlackBerrys and Android, I am currently Tweeting my way across the Information Super highway on a Nokia Navigator. Hint: it’s a pun. You can imagine my joy, then, when I discovered that Vodacom was offering a Samsung Galaxy Ace on an upcoming contract deal. Two weeks passed ...
