The Original Salcombe Blog. Monday, 7 January 2013. A Salcombe for All. Happy New Year to you all…I hope this year brings above all else, a summer! There seems to be a lot going on in Salcombe at the moment; new builds around every corner, a new business going into the old HSBC site and a building site where the Marine used to be. Let’s hope most of these are finished for summer, I can’t stand looking across to Salcombe and seeing the mess that is the Marine hotel. Monday, January 07, 2013.

The Original Salcombe Blog. Monday, 13 June 2011. Is Mr Tumble in Salcombe? For those of you with young children you will know exactly who Mr Tumble. For those of you who don't he is a children's entertainer who seems to have a mesmerising hold over kids whilst appearing to us an absolute fool.kids just love him. He also does some great work for special needs children. Monday, June 13, 2011. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Is the Strategic Housing Plan good for Salcombe?

The Original Salcombe Blog. Monday, 10 September 2012. I'm presuming that I am not the only one who has noticed the huge amount of rebuilds going on in Salcombe? Every time you look around a house has disappeared.then slowly a modern architectural wonder/carbuncle (delete as appropriate) appears in it's place. The most astonishing creation to date seems to be the house at the top of Newton Road, what's that all about? I hate to think what the final build costs on that will be! Monday, September 10, 2012.

November 2010
http://salcombeblog.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
The Original Salcombe Blog. Monday, 8 November 2010. What next for Dusters? So what next for Salcombe's Dusters restaurant? 163;50k seems incredibly cheap for this prominent and well established restaurant? In my view it isn't what it used to be back in days of Harry and his jazz trio or the far distant days of MH, but it still gets packed out in the summer. Granted the winter months are tough but get it right and it could be busy Thurs through Saturday surely? Monday, November 08, 2010.

http://salcombeblog.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
The Original Salcombe Blog. Saturday, 21 August 2010. I was excited in the run up.I had a table booked, the tide would be in and I'd heard good things about The Island Street Bar. I arrived and the bar looked stylish and very different for Salcombe, the view across the water to the meadows and beyond was great, I had a lovely cold beer and the menu looked exciting. As for my food, the starter was fantastic, Crab Chowder, very very good! My enthusiasm for what should have been a great restaurant had disap...
