Over the past year I’ve added new tools to my bench, but I’m still missing some crucial debugging tools. Recently I bought a Logic Analyzer. A logic analyzer works much like an Oscilloscope. Except it works on a digital level with multiple channels. There are a lot of expensive logic analyzers out there, both benchtop and USB. A popular USB logic analyzer is the Saleae. GPIO PORTE DIR R. I now pushed the thumbulator branch as the new master branch for CoreForth. The idea behind thumbulator. Qemu seemed a bit heavy though, and with thumbulator I found a lightweight way to have a host based environment to produce a target binary. This works as long as there are no fancy hardware dependencies at compile time, but usually, there aren't any ;) And if something is desperately needed, it is pretty easy to extend thumbulator.
