Over the last two summers, when zucchini and tomatoes are abundant, I've added tians to our list of favorite side dishes. This summer I decided to do another search to see what variations there are. What I learned: Don't make several changes to a favorite recipe all at once- go slow. And, it's okay to be satisfied with a favorite. 1 tablespoon curry powder.

What's Up With That? We are all here for a spell; get all the good laughs you can." Will Rogers. Monday, June 29, 2015. N and I took a weekend off to spend time with my Dad and siblings, plus five additional days at Nehalem Bay State Park. We returned to an Oregon heat wave with (what seemed like) double chores to catch up on. Oi. I decided he deserved a special meal. One worthy of the effort put into the treadmill. I was so glad (even though I cooked without Fran's help) everything turned out we...From ...

That sounds pretty good. After a Google search, I settled on this recipe. Which I adapted), mostly because I was very curious about the tamarind paste (which I easily found at the local Asian market). I don't have a wok so I used my cast iron skillet, knowing I could safely get it very hot and that worked well. I am now convinced this will be a regular dinner in the rotation. And did I mention how amazing it is as a leftover? 1 to 1 1/2 cups raw chicken breast, cut into 1 inch pieces. Warm up a wok or la...

That sounds pretty good. Since the day we walked down the aisle. On one hand, I can't believe how fast time has gone. On the other, it's hard to imagine how much we've had to endure in twelve short years. My husband has been my rock through it all and I'm so very lucky. To celebrate, I surprised him with a night at the O'dysius. The Crispy Potato Roast. But The highlight of the meal was the culotte steaks Cesar grilled on the bbq to a perfect medium rare. Top this delicious cut of steak with perfectl...
