Directions To The Flying Field. 24200 Chualar Dump Road, Chualar CA). From the North on Highway 101: Leave Highway 101 at the Chualar exit, 12 miles South of Salinas. Turn right, cross railroad tracks, and proceed 0.5 mile to Chualar River Road. Turn right onto Chualar River Road, and proceed 1.5 miles to the SAM flying field turn off. The turn off is on the left side of the road, at a sweeping right turn and before the bridge. Site problems or suggestions: Joe Francis.

The Salinas Area Modelers flying field ( Directions. Is approximately 10 miles south of Salinas, located two miles west of Chualar along the Chualar River Road. The field is adjacent to the Salinas River. 1 All members and guests must abide by the Academy of Model and Salinas Area Modelers Rules. 2 Guests must fill out and use a guest card before flying. 3 Aircraft must meet Salinas Area Modelers noise rules, aircraft must have a muffler or be below 85 dba @ 50 feet. 6 No dumping of any kind at the field.

Our flying field is located at 24200 Chualar Dump Road, in Chualar Ca. Directions To The Flying Field. Instead of a regular monthly meeting in December, a special Christmas Dinner Meeting is held. In recent years these have been held at the Elks Lodge in Salinas, The Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey and The Landing Zone Restaurant at the Salinas Airport.
