In 1976 two events changed the course of the enduro. First some background. In 1976 there were two clubs in Salinas, the Salinas Dirt Riders (SDR) and the Salinas Ramblers (SRMC). I took about 10 gallons of gas and can back with less then 2. Good thing I put my large fuel tank on. The view from San Benito mountain was stunning.
