Surrounds two-thirds of a vast rain-forested peninsula in northwestern Washington State, home of the myth-filled Olympic Mountains. Often, clouds roll in from the west, obscuring the high peaks and drenching the valleys with moisture. Mist is a companion to the clouds. It rises up from the dampened ground and shaded waterways in silence, hiding secrets. Thanks to mist and cloud, those moments when the sun shoots through their gray covering, everything sparkles. This is where I live and find my inspiration.
