VISUAL PRACTICE — SALLY HART
http://sallyhart.co.uk/index
City, State, Zip. Photography has a history of allowing us to see the unseen, Muybridge's motion studies, or Cartier-Bresson's 'decisive moment' alter our perception of time, but it can also alter our experience of space. Atget's images of Parisian shopfronts compress layers of context into a single plane, creating new conceptual spaces in which to engage the city. Photography allows us to make visible that which is there yet unable to be occupied. This project was presented at the 2013 IVSA Conference.

City, State, Zip. October 28, 2014. As many may know, I've recently completed my Masters degree in Photography and Urban Cultures in the Sociology department at Goldsmiths College, University of London. Whilst the formal submission took the form of a 10,000 word dissertation and a visual portfolio, it's tradition for the graduating year to hold an exhibition celebrating the work developed during the programme. This year the exhibition manifested as Habitus. Held at the Menier Gallery. The gallery itself ...

E LA PICCOLA MARGHERITA. Friday, 2 March 2012. I'm not sure how many people actually still read this blog, but anyway: we've moved over to www.daisyharrop.blogspot.com. For all Daisy-related posts. On the off-chance that I write a non-Daisy post (ha ha), it will still appear on this blog. Tuesday, 28 February 2012. Oh, and also, how cute are her bunches? Spot of shopping, anyone? Giving cuddles to whatever's on that page of the book. I love this picture of Daisy and her Nanna walking along in their match...

Just another WordPress.com site. New York USA 1st/2nd July 2015. July 21, 2015. On 1st July, John and I flew from Manchester to JFK Airport. Yes John is still extremely nervous and scared of flying, however, we did arrive safe and sound without incident. We got a taxi from the Airport to our hotel The New Yorker. There is a flat-rate fare so you know what to pay before the journey starts. This was the view from our hotel room which was on the 27th floor. The inscription said ‘Dedicated to the people of a...
