During the Summer months we almost gave up on it but the last month or so the bush has thrived. To date we have had 2 flowers and lots more are coming. Sunday, 15 February 2009. Someone pulled the plug. Today while in the city we decided to take a stroll along the once beautiful Torrens River to see the devastation first hand cause by the accidental opening of the weir. Boy it was heartbreaking to see and not to mention a bit on the nose. Pop Eye is high and dry and sadly sitting on the stinking mud. The paddle boats were still a colorful sight to see even though they now find themselves in the yuck and stench too. Home Made with Sallyanne.

Tuesday, 30 December 2008. So Majestic and Graceful. I personally think that these Wind Turbines are so Majestic and Graceful. The largest wind farm in Australia is at Wattle Point on the Yorke Peninsular in South Australia. It was completed in 2005 and its 55 Wind Turbines. Tuesday, December 25, 2007. Orroroo is a small country town in the southern Flinders Ranges some 260km north of Adelaide in South Australia. The Reservoir was constructed in 1906. It originally held approximately 1,540 mega litres of water and was used by settlers for growing Lucerne and in dairies. In 1973 silt build up, insufficient rainfall and erosion caused the reservoir to be abandoned. For those who would like to have a look at the Great Ocean Road, more information can be found at this Web Site.

Tuesday, January 29, 2008. Ardrossan South Australia has some red clay type cliffs which run to the north and south sides of the local town jetty. It was out of bed early last weekend to capture some sunrise photographs of the cliffs. Home Made By Sallyanne. Monday, 18 January 2010. My Lovely Quilting teacher has designed a quilt from mainly a Jelly. The above is her completed Quilt and below is my colour selection. With the lovely breeze blowing today I thought it was ideal to get the fabric washed and hung out. The backing fabric I chose had a bad case of bleeding so it was into the wash bowl 6 or so times along with a handful of salt. Here's hoping my colours will look as Good as Cheryl's when completed.
