Tastings & Events. 2013 Floodgate Vineyard Chardonnay, Russian River Valley. This Dijon clone Chardonnay was aged 18 months in French oak barrels, and has aromas of passion fruit, green apple and lemon. It is medium-bodied on the palate with notes of citrus, stone fruit and a touch of mineral. Clearly a wine built for food and an ideal candidate for another few years of careful cellaring. Appellation: Russian River Valley. Soils: Goldridge Sandy Loam. Alcohol: 14.1% by vol. Acidity: 0.94 g/100mL.
