France without the Motorhome: July 2014
http://francemoblie.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
France without the Motorhome. Thursday, 24 July 2014. Missing France in 2014. Well this year we will not be going to France. As you may know last November I has a Stroke, nothing too serious but Dot is not too sure about me. Epically worried about travelling abroad with me driving. Driving is the one thing that I do not think has been effected but my wife and daughter seem to be worried about it. So sorry, hope to be doing France again next year. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). http://francemoblie.blogspot.com/2013/10/france-sep-2013-day-five.html
France without the Motorhome. Thursday, 17 October 2013. France Sep 2013, Day five. Day five, Thu 12th Sep. We should have been going to Paris today but we had waited too long before booking, so we are going tomorrow instead. Anyway it was a nice day, it wasn't raining and it was feeling a lot warmer. So we took the opportunity to sit in the sun and read, Dot and I also had a walk around the lakes on site. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). France Sep 2013, the Beers. France Sep 2013, Day seven.

France without the Motorhome: France Sep 2013, Day six
http://francemoblie.blogspot.com/2013/10/france-sep-2013-day-six.html
France without the Motorhome. Sunday, 20 October 2013. France Sep 2013, Day six. Day six, Fri 13th Sep. We had to be up early to catch the bus to Paris, which meant I had to be up even earlier, so as to let the drugs work so I could be relatively comfortably on the trip in. The weather didn't look very promising and to save me walking the half mile, we took the car down to reception, where the bus left from. To see the difference. We crossed over the river towards the Eiffel Tower but as it was still rai...

France without the Motorhome. Friday, 28 October 2011. France Sep 2011, Day Thirteen. Day Thirteen , 9th Sep. Guess what we did today, yes we continued to tour the D Day sights, on the way we passed a Lidl, and stopped for essential provisions, beer and chocolate mainly. From there we drove along the coast (Sword Beach), stopping at the various memorials along the way, we got as far as Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer (start of Juno Beach), then turned towards Bayeux and the campsite. France without the Motorhome: November 2011

France without the Motorhome. Thursday, 17 November 2011. France Sep 2011, The Drive Home. Day Eighteen, 14th Sep. Back in Hull on the morning, we had that boring time when the ferry has to negotiate the lock gates to enter the Queen Elizabeth dock. The ferry from Rotterdam was already offloading, as it doesn't have to enter the dock. We walked round the old Humber Dock and over the lock gates, as far as the Lightship then crossed over the main road to the new shopping centre (not my idea). Day Seventeen...

France without the Motorhome. Thursday, 24 October 2013. France Sep 2013, the Beers. I though I would finish the France Sep 2013 blog, with a review of the new beers I found this trip to Picardy and Paris. We had quite a variety of beers between us some good and some not so good, so here we go and once again, in no particular order. Haacht, Mystic Witbier met Krieken from Belgium. Coq Hardi, Blonde from Belgium. Jenlain, Ardente from France. Brouwerij Moortgat, Maredsous 6 Blonde from Belgium. 60% hazy g...

France without the Motorhome: October 2012
http://francemoblie.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
France without the Motorhome. Tuesday, 30 October 2012. France 2012, Day twelve, Charente-Maritime. Day twelve, Sep 12th 2012. I thought we should have a day out sightseeing, so we packed a picnic lunch and headed for Saintes. Well we knew nothing about the place except that, Brenda's maiden name was Saint, it was also the closest large town to the campsite and Dot had seen that there was a Roman Amphitheatre there. Dot noticed on the map where the Roman amphitheatre was and we set off to find it. I ...

France without the Motorhome: May 2013
http://francemoblie.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
France without the Motorhome. Thursday, 30 May 2013. France 2013, Day one, Getting there. Several changes for this year's trip to France, we were going in May instead of September (as we had the last couple of years) and we were not going with Siblu. So now the holiday was looking a lot like the one we had just had in September. The booking also included Ralph and Amber but unfortunately due to various reasons they could not make it this time. Day one, Sat May 4th. As we had done this trip before, we did...

France without the Motorhome: November 2012
http://francemoblie.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
France without the Motorhome. Friday, 16 November 2012. France 2012, Day eighteen, The journey home. Day eighteen, Sep 18th 2012. It was still dark when we left for the port, the drive there was straightforward and we arrived with plenty of time to spare. Once on board the MV Normandie, we went on deck to watch a very nice sunrise, over towards Cabourg. I got lots of boat photos as we passed the Isle of Wight and then more when entering Portsmouth. Then it was just the long drag north. Where I was headin...

France without the Motorhome: France Sep 2013, Day eight, The journey home
http://francemoblie.blogspot.com/2013/10/france-sep-2013-day-eight-journey-home.html
France without the Motorhome. Monday, 21 October 2013. France Sep 2013, Day eight, The journey home. Day eight, Sun 15th Sep. Wouldn't you know it, a lovely fine day for driving home. We have spent a total of four weeks in France this year and the weather has not been very good for most of our time there. We have had spells of good, even hot weather and even been sunburnt but overall it had been pretty poor. Has it put us off coming to France in the future, I don't think so. France Sep 2013, the Beers.
