Sunday, 31 May 2015. The Tavistock Garden Festival.and that seat! An old mossy, lichened, garden seat, a cuppa, a good book. And the sunshine; what more could one want? This lovely scene caught my eye at the Tavistock garden festival, last Sunday! Mind you, this wasn't all that caught my eye! I suppose you could say that 'Chelsea-itis' was on the menu in and around the market hall! All of those who love gardening, were there; probably they were just like me -. It really does whet the gardening appetite!

Saturday, 18 April 2015. It's that time of year. the grand garden 'tidy up! And this year, we're really on top of it! The grass has had its first cut.and then its second! The sunny weather has woken the garden and all of a sudden, everywhere,. There are splashes of colour. I especially love the area by our greenhouse where the primroses and polyanthus. Come into their own.such a welcome sight! Show a tree a bit of sun and hey presto. One day it's asleep and the next it's in full bloom! I'll give it a go.

Sunday, 17 January 2010. A relaxing weekend was needed and that's what I've had. Puttering around the home, some washing, ironing and a good amount of knitting. I also popped into a few thrift shops and I think I have found a few bargains. In the Cats Protection League this lovely wool, all ready to spin. A whole bag for £2.50. Friday, 26 February 2010. Not very much going on. I have started the fleece, it spins nicely but I really need alot of practice so it's fortunate that it was so cheap. I bought some gorgeously soft wool 'Hug' which knitted up extremely quickly into a nice chunky jumper for me. I tried to take a decent photo but the light was not helpful.
