One Pink Goose: Hooked Rug Storytelling
http://onepinkgoose.blogspot.com/2011/05/hooked-rug-storytelling.html
Saturday, May 7, 2011. A slightly different blog post today as The Book has arrived at last. I haven’t mentioned it before on the blog because I was waiting to actually see it in the flesh so to speak. You can also browse Heather’s own website here. And here is the original photo of Heather holding the lambs. Here is the photo that inspired the Jackdaw Jeans rug below. I think the jeans are especially good. Heather has the knack of removing extraneous detail to simplify the image. This rug shows “P...

Going Dotty alphabets finished. A letter a week 2013. Friday, December 28, 2012. I haven’t shown any letters for the past 6 months, partly due to lack of time, but mainly because the letters themselves aren’t very interesting on their own – Neuland Hand using 2 pencils tied together and written onto tracing paper (I actually have to admit that I ended up writing all the letters in one sitting - am I disqualified? Original art work – 25cm x 28cm. Arrival of the pieces. December 29, 2012 at 1:14 AM. I love...

Plays With Needles: Found on the Beach
http://plays-with-needles.blogspot.com/2012/08/found-on-beach.html
Saturday, August 11, 2012. Found on the Beach. Something happens when we go to the beach. When we start sifting through the sand and the piles of debris tossed up by the sea. We're never sure what we will find. But we know if we show up every day, rain or shine, when the tide is low. We are rewarded by the magic that occurs in this transitional space. Where land and sea mix together in an endless dance of creativity and expression. The beach is the great eraser. And what is left is pure treasure. That wh...

Pen and Ink Drawing entitled Red Birds In Trees. Tree lined country lane at Linslade. River at Old Linslade. Old Linslade Church built in mid-1100’s. And the Beast (Cockchafer Beetle).
