Sunday, October 5, 2008. Salt Cay, after Hurricane Ike. On September 6th, Hurricane Ike (Category 4) descended upon Salt Cay and the Turks and Caicos Islands with winds of 120-160 mph. As you can imagine, the damage was extensive and wide-spread. The power has been out since the storm hit and many people lost their homes.
