Saltdean Lido is one of the finest remaining examples of modernist lidos in the UK. It has been saved by local residents who have set up the CIC and successfully secured a 60-year lease from Brighton and Hove City Council (the freeholders) to operate the lido site.

The Save Saltdean Lido Campaign was set up in March 2010 by local residents after plans were announced to fill in the swimming pool, develop the site extensively and create 102 flats.
