Simple joys of a soulful life. August 14, 2015. The first time around, it was felted wool pouches. That the kids made, with the group we’ve been getting together with. The second time around, small felted wool balls that became beads. After they’d strung the felted wool balls, buttons, and wooden beads, they stood together proudly wearing their necklaces (please can we take a picture? And it was so darn cute. Popping by to say that we’ll be at the market. Have a great weekend, friends! Grain-free Zucchin...

farmer's market {early june} - WoolyMossRoots
http://woolymossroots.com/2015/06/farmers-market-early-june
Simple joys of a soulful life. Farmer’s market {early june}. June 11, 2015. Recently we experienced the Tuesday farmer’s market. For the first time, rather than the farmer’s market on Saturdays that we are used to, because that’s when we happened to be in town. The market on Tuesday is much smaller, with fewer booths, less crowded, quieter. It’s a different pace and a different feel. (We love them both.) Yet, even with a smaller sampling of farms, there is still. Goodness to be found there! I saw flowers...

Simple joys of a soulful life. August 13, 2015. In Bracken’s earlier days, we spent a majority of our market days in our booth. These days Bracken and I go back to our booth to eat meals, check on dad and see if he needs a break, and for regrouping, but we spend most of our market day walking around the market. We love many things about the market. This last weekend we went to Brice Creek. Filed Under: Adventures , Holidays and Celebrations. Inspiring People and Fun Places. August 13, 2015 at 6:48 PM.

wet felting - WoolyMossRoots
http://woolymossroots.com/2015/07/wet-felting
Simple joys of a soulful life. July 17, 2015. Yesterday we met with a sweet homeschooling group, in a friend’s beautiful backyard, and the kids learned how to do some wet felting. Bracken was delighted to see that who was teaching the wet felting was his friend, the handwork teacher at the local Waldorf School, who we know from our time at Rainbow Bridge. She has a gift with children and was so good at explaining how to do each step. What are some of your favorite crafting projects to do with kids? Requi...
