Friday, 10 December 2010. Am I easily offended? Example Fugly: A friend with whom I shopped for laptops called my laptop "fugly" after I got it. I objected immediately. Example Bye: I told an aquaintance online that his name made him sound old, to which he promptly responded, "bye", later explained to be in jest. I apologised but when I made my objection known, he left me with a genuine goodbye to think about whether he really messed up. So what exactly affects our sensitivities? Links to this post.

Wednesday, 22 September 2010. Knowledge crushed by the intelligent. Assumptions: the people I talk to are intelligent. While talking to people with strong mindsets, I realise I often have yet to take a stand or am yet able to cite relevant supporting authority for my stand. And no, I am not necessarily talking about law. I have been criticised as not being confident enough or emotionally deficient, but really, enough with the name calling. Am I going to defend it to the death? What can I do about it?
