March 8, 2016. March 12, 2016. This synopsis comparing living with a chronic illness to a house being on fire always makes me laugh, because it is such an apt yet facetious comparison. I’ve seen it circulating online but am unsure who wrote it. And it seems that thousands and thousands of people (several even on my own friends list) think this is a totally fair question. Then I got to thinking, why does the general public even feel entitled to ask people why they are unable to work? 5 Comments Add yours.

March 12, 2016. March 13, 2016. Object permanence is the understanding that an object still exists even though we can not observe it, by either seeing, hearing, feeling, touching, or tasting. It’s said that babies start to grasp this concept around the age of 4 to 8 months. Prior to that if they cannot observe the object then they are no longer aware of it’s existence. But there is something which I have observed which makes me think that many of us actually have not fully grasped object permanence yet.
