While a blizzard was raging in Salzburg. We arrived at Torbole. At the northern end of the Lago di Garda. With no plans in mind apart from actually finishing the Festive500. Like an excited kid on Christmas morning Boban woke up early and planned a route that goes up and around the backside of Monte Baldo. We both woke up with sore hips and shoulders from yesterday. But being late on the schedule we were eager to get another ride in and figured the flat 100k - 5 Lake lap. With 180k left to go and the knee-high snow back in Salzburg, John was adamant about doing the roughly 150k loop around Lake Garda. And Boban didn't even attempt to convince him otherwise. After yesterday's snowstorm and Boban's brake issues. We decided to take things more serious and actually start pushing towards the 500km goal. 3 days in we only got to a meagre 145k so today we decided to visit the world famous Königssee. The cleanest lake in Europe! And it's lesser known brother Hintersee. Which with a detour or two should amount to about a 100k.
