The Laughing Monzingos: March 2015
http://thelaughingmonzingos.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 18, 2015. This post is specifically for the 4th year campers at Dallas East Stake Young Women's Camp. By now you should have your fabric and the very basic instructions. The dress itself is fairly simple to make. There are a couple of ways to do it. This is the way I did it. Start with the fabric provided to you. Do not dye or alter the base color of the fabric. Fold the fabric in half. This is to find the center. I used pins to mark where the seams would go. Here are some examples:.

The Laughing Monzingos: August 2014
http://thelaughingmonzingos.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 9, 2014. Here we are in beautiful Arkansas. Sculpture at Crystal Bridges Art Museum. We made it. My mother and apparently her little dogs were anxious for our arrival. It didn't actually take too log. We stopped in Adair to see Grandpa. He filled what empty spaces I had in the vehicle with Gramma's collection of baskets. I am now the proud owner of a LOT of baskets. When he asked me if I wanted them I really had no concept of the number. Thursday, August 7, 2014. Bacon Bar and Grill.

The Laughing Monzingos: April 2014
http://thelaughingmonzingos.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 8, 2014. There is a sunny side. There are more blessings that come in trials than at any other times. Today is a perfect example. Agreed to help. They all made it. The first blessing in not having a car, I got to spend a little extra time with a friend. We both have busy lives and we don't spend a lot of time together. I genuinely enjoy talking to her. Carrie is remarkable in many ways. She is gentle and compassionate and I appreciate her insights. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Laughing Monzingos: November 2014
http://thelaughingmonzingos.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 13, 2014. I am Grateful for Seasons. Kids get asked a lot about their favorites. What is your favorite color? What is your favorite subject? Who is your favorite teacher? And on and on. We are expected to pick one. All kids know you can only have one favorite. I love the seasons. I love that they change. I would not want to live in eternal summer or endless winter. I want them all. Each has it's own unique flavor and beauty. I am grateful for the seasons. Monday, November 10, 2014.

The Laughing Monzingos: Do You Know Where You Came From?
http://thelaughingmonzingos.blogspot.com/2014/11/do-you-know-where-you-came-from.html
Sunday, November 9, 2014. Do You Know Where You Came From? I once read an op-ed piece about the great state of Oklahoma. Oklahoma is one of those states in the middle that seems to not clearly belong to one of the cultural regions of the country. Is it midwest? This is Jake Maggard. He married Ellene. I remember how all us grandkids adored him. My sister and I would play and play with him. He would try to get us to behave, but we never quite took him seriously. I am very, very grateful for my ancestors.

The Laughing Monzingos: A Toothpick and A Hanky
http://thelaughingmonzingos.blogspot.com/2015/05/a-toothpick-and-hanky.html
Tuesday, May 19, 2015. A Toothpick and A Hanky. After Gramma Ellene passed, Grandpa John gave me some of her things. A hair dryer. Baskets. Books. Sea shells. Small pink quartz rocks. A blue suede jacket. That jacket has been hanging in my closet for some time. I never wore it. It is an attractive and very nice jacket. Just not my style and not really my size. And then I sniffed the handy. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Everything Is Broken.I mean Awesome! A Toothpick and A Hanky. Just a mini tornado.

The Laughing Monzingos: July 2015

Sunday, July 5, 2015. Two lessons today on service. Sunday School lesson was "As I Have Loved You" (Luke 22 and John 13-15). Discussed Christ washing the apostles feet. Teaching them to follow his example. Teaching us that leaders should be servants. The past few years have been not fun for our family. The financial strains have been immense. That certainly has not been our only struggle, but maybe the most significant. We have been the recipients of so much love and support from family, frie...Day 44 - ...
