Wednesday, April 30, 2008. Vienna, Budapest, and Prague. I had been to Vienna once before, with Jess in February of 2006, so I can't say we did much sight-seeing in the two days I was there. This blog is about my time in Chalon-sur-saône, France as a language assistant. Friday, July 27, 2007. Now, I'm just waiting for my arrêté and getting ready to visit grad schools. I'm also going to prepare for my GRE. I hope all of it goes ok and that I get my arrêté soon! Sunday, July 15, 2007. Oops, forgot to mention something! I have my plane ticket, and will be leaving from Chicago on September 12th and landing in Brussels. I'll spend a week there and then take the TGV down to France :).

Sunday, September 30, 2007. Living in France has certainly given me patience. During this weekend, I have managed to acquire a lamp for my room, as well as a basket for my mounds of asthma/allergy medications, and the heater in my room has started to cooperate! This was very exciting. Unfortunately, the stove and oven in our kitchen are still not cooperating. Wednesday, October 24, 2007. Baguette eating on-the-go is really dangerous. Yesterday after class I stopped by a boulangerie to grab some bread for lunch and once I ripped off one hunk I lost control and ended up eating at least half of the thing. As soon as I had it in my hands I could tell it was all nice and warm from the oven and I couldn't help myself! Exercise was to check my heart rate. But I really am amazed about what we are eating. Beef with growth hormones. Or why wait for Mother Nature to do its job when you can just accelerate the process. Milk with growth hormones:. Same more hormones= more milk production. Chicken "cleaned" with Chlorine dioxide:. GMO corn, soya. Extra salt in process food.
