Things You Don't Talk About in Polite Company. A blog about thoughts on religion, politics, the occasional intersection of both, and other stuff. Monday, September 30, 2002. Take a look at the talking heads programs that appear on various channels. There's Press and Buchanan. And Curtis and Kuby. On MSNBC. Watch Hannity and Colmes. On the oxymoronic network that is FoxNews. Check out Margaret Carlson on The Capital Gang. On CNN. Notice something in common about the "liberal" talking heads? Self-intereste...

Things You Don't Talk About in Polite Company: Booman on Southern Populism
http://impolitecompany.blogspot.com/2008/06/booman-on-southern-populism.html
Things You Don't Talk About in Polite Company. A blog about thoughts on religion, politics, the occasional intersection of both, and other stuff. Friday, June 13, 2008. Booman on Southern Populism. I've suggested that the Democratic Party should be a progressive-populist alliance. I don't want a return ...

Things You Don't Talk About in Polite Company. A blog about thoughts on religion, politics, the occasional intersection of both, and other stuff. Saturday, October 26, 2002. Paul Wellstone is dead. I was very apathetic about the 2000 presidential election. Mostly it was because I was all ready to volunteer for the campaign of Wellstone, who was making noises about running. As I recall, his health at the time (his back, I believe), was his stated reason for dropping out. Links to this post. And while we'r...
