It wasn't until Nice, France that I finally got a full night's rest and became acquainted to the time change. And what a great city to be awake for! Last minute cleaning and off I go! There's still much t...

Roma: Questioning Realism
http://smloomis.blogspot.com/2009/11/questioning-realism.html

The Brief Wondrous Life Abroad. Daphne in As the World Turns →. July 13, 2010 · 11:38 am. After returning from Barcelona, I had to scramble to clean my studio in time. I lived a pastoral existence:. Meadows and mead and suitors swimsuited…. In the end, I died a pastoral existence,. Or wish I had, anyway. Apollo–black tempered, incensed–. Turned pirate, barged up my waterways. What wishes I had were waked away;. He had a fast boat. I turned on the waterworks,. But he had a faster boast. I studied ab...

During the first dinner Martin jokingly suggested I paint him and Kasja as the American Gothic. So, I did! It was a nice activity for me to try out some acrylic paint. Snapshot of buying my painting supplies: Biking across town with an easel sticking out the top of my backpack about 1 1/2 feet over my head, canvas balanced on the back of the bike lying flat, both hands holding onto the canvas, no hands on the handlebars, and getting lost among roundabouts over the river. Quite the experience! I frantical...
