Experimental set-up for short beam shear test. Unidirectional carbon/epoxy panels were used in this study. The panels were fabricated using a hand lay-up method followed by compression molding. The carbon fiber used was the Uniweb. The Uniweb consists of a nonwoven sheet of unidirectional carbon fibers that are held in position by a fine web of polymer fibrils lying on one or both surfaces.
