西南部的一個鎮，位於台北盆地的西南隅，三面環山，東與新店市為鄰，南接烏來鄉及桃園縣復興鄉，西面與鶯歌鎮相鄰，且以大漢溪與桃園縣大溪鎮為界，西北與鶯歌鎮相鄰，北連樹林市及土城市。 三峽的舊名是三角湧，因處於大嵙崁溪、三峽溪、橫溪三河的匯流之口，故名三角湧。1920年，全臺行政區大變革，將三角湧改為日語發音相似的三峽（SanKyuo），而設立台北州海山郡三峽庄。之後，因住民聚增，逐漸繁榮，而升格為三峽街，戰後改設台北縣三峽鎮。 訂閱： 張貼留言 (Atom).
