Been here ever since. Friday, September 23, 2011. Twilight in the desert. Evening was playtime in Samoa. All the villages were buzzing with the vigor of their restless youth. Under the Coconut Tree: January 2010

http://cocokeo.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html

Under the Coconut Tree. Tuesday, January 26, 2010. Here's my funny Tinto conversation for the week - or for the hour I should say, as she spurts out the silliest most preposterous things on a minute basis. My dad is quite frail and needs help when standing up. This morning we were in the sitting room, and Cheeku was helping him up from his chair. He stumbled, and Tino called out ". You might be slipped! He might be slipped and then he might be DIED! Friday, January 15, 2010. What to do -. I had an intere...

Under the Coconut Tree: November 2010

http://cocokeo.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html

Under the Coconut Tree. Thursday, November 11, 2010. Getting ready for real school. Yesterday, RLSS held an orientation session for all children enrolled for Year 1. Tinto went with her Grandma. According to Grandma, Tinto said "Grandma, go sit down over there, I'll be fine." All the other kids in the orientation knew who she was (kids from her preschool) and half the kids in Year 1 were calling out "Tino! Can I have one? Can you put my name on it? Is it for rugby? Like the world cup? Dublin, Ireland 2015.

Under the Coconut Tree. Thursday, August 26, 2010. Dealing with parental pressure. I am so tired. Drained. Emotionally, maternally and more importantly, financially. Never have I been more anxious to get away - from work, my husband, kids, parents and bank account negative balance. A fellow blogger said she feels like Maria in the hills are alive, running carefree on the hills. That will be me in a few days. So.what I have been stressed MOST about. Under the Coconut Tree. Monday, June 14, 2010. And all of a sudden, half the year is gone! And what do I have to show for it? Cos she's smart like that. And then another little soul arriving home from school screaming "MUUUUUMMMMMYYYYYYY I'm HOOOOOOOOOOME! Sigh There was boredom and then there was bedlam. Somewhere in between, my sanity was hanging by a thread. And bad? Tinto is still Tinto. Loud, boisterous, loud, bossy and did I mention loud? I SAID DON'T DO THAT! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Under the Coconut Tree. Thursday, November 11, 2010. Until now. We've got a mixed team for one of the business house tournaments. We've won 5 games out of 6, AND are top of our pool. No more shoulder ache. Or back ache. Or Fia-Van-Dyke ache. And I'm back to playing like I was in 6th Form (plus 20kgs). To hell with the doctor, I've still got IT. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Samoan Cooking

Simple Recipes From The Heart. Saturday, October 25, 2008. Fa'alifu Ulu. Cooked Breadfruit in Coconut Milk :). Ulu or breadfruit is a delicious starch we enjoy throughout the Pacific. You can cook it in an umu, an oven, cook it directly over hot coals, or boil it in water. The simplest way to cook ulu is to boil it in a pot on your stove top. :) That way you don't have to look for firewood, struggle with the flames, and slave over hot coals. After you cut off the skin then you cut off the core. Turn your...
