Thursday, September 17, 2009. A day in Rapid City, SD - Reptile Gardens. Our first day in the Mt. Rushmore area was spent in Rapid City. During our stay in the area we camped at a KOA in Custer, SD. It was about 45 minutes from Rapid City. On the way from the camp site up to Rapid City we passed the Crazy Horse Monument. It is pretty impressive. Wednesday, March 4, 2009. This last Sunday we celebrated Olivia's 1st Birthday. I know, it is amazing that she is old enough to be having her 1st birthday. Above, Olivia is just relaxing waiting for her party to start (not that she really knows what is going on). Olivia did end up opening a few presents by herself, with some encouragement from mom, dad, and Savannah. Saturday, January 8, 2011. Riding the Front Runner down to Salt Lake City to see the lights on Temple Square. Bowling and dinner, being shepherds, visiting Granny, Grandpa, and the cousins in Panaca, and our gingerbread houses. This year our gingerbread village included a cell tower, a castle, a barn, a Christmas tree, an igloo, a playground, an Ecuador orphanage, several amazing architectural creations and a few little houses. Friday, February 11, 2011. January was a busy month. I started back to school, taking six credits so I can renew my teaching license. I am taking a Children's Literature class and a Reading Assessment and Intervention class. It is fun, but definitely crazy trying to find enough quiet time to do schoolwork while taking care of 4 kids! He invited his friend Aubryn over to play and decorate cupcakes.
