Muahahahaha....: BenBen
http://stephbobb.blogspot.com/2010/06/benben.html
Tuesday, June 01, 2010. As I sit back and reflect on these treasured moments, I realize that in the midst of this frenetic, often fatiguing energy is a deep-settled and very tangible expression of the Father’s goodness that wouldn’t exist without Ben’s presence. I am grateful, and so I exhale with thanksgiving to the God of miracles for a little life that doctors foretold Susan, even ten years ago, would never exist. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Muahahahaha....: Year-Round Christmas
http://stephbobb.blogspot.com/2009/12/year-round-christmas.html
Tuesday, December 22, 2009. The tots are over at the house today. Their mom has a dentist’s appointment, so she dropped them off at Mimi and Papa’s. Despite the pile of work at my desk, I had to steal downstairs to say hello. Minor omission: I haven’t gotten my hello-squeezes yet. The little one is ambling near the stairs, when I call to her with a loud, ”Psssst.” Daphy-Doo turns around promptly and whispers back, sheepishly, “What? Christmas is year-round with those two. It’s fantastic. The dawn of a ne...

Muahahahaha....: Goodness
http://stephbobb.blogspot.com/2010/01/goodness.html
Monday, January 11, 2010. There’s life simply in being on a couch. Three separate family units piled in one room, curled up in front of the TV. Two are watching, two are dozing, the little ones are folded into the crevices between. I wake to the smallest lounging on me, rubbing the back of her head against my cheek bone. I yelp. “Won’t you come over to the couch? Life as usual – it may go back to how it was, but maybe we never will. I relish that thought. Loved every second with you. Bring on the 30's!

Muahahahaha....: Dottie
http://stephbobb.blogspot.com/2010/06/dottie.html
Thursday, June 03, 2010. 8221; I imitated last night in my inner city voice, mimicking Dottie’s. She and Buddy laughed, and we agreed on what it means to be a good neighbor, one who doesn’t do everything in their power to pretend the other doesn’t exist. Not the way I’ve always done in suburbia. Muahahahaha....: Listening to Dottie
http://stephbobb.blogspot.com/2010/08/listening-to-dottie.html
Monday, August 16, 2010. I’m sitting across from Dottie in her little one-bedroom, the house with the rickety stairs she walked up with my flashlight. 8221; She had wanted me to greet Mom and Dad next time I talked to them, repeatedly affirming how nice they are, that she now knows where I get it from. I forget. But I remember to pick up a watermelon for her, from the bus that sells local produce. Sounds like a great old cat! Miss you, froggy! I think this is developing into a rich friendship. Muahahahaha....: The woman who wiped Jesus’ tub, I mean feet
http://stephbobb.blogspot.com/2010/12/woman-who-wiped-jesus-tub-i-mean-feet.html
Wednesday, December 01, 2010. The woman who wiped Jesus’ tub, I mean feet. 8220;Her.”. And as I looked down at my hands and felt the wonderment in my smile, I knew this was worship. This was what the woman who wiped Jesus’ feet was feeling, knowing that this small act, the mundane, was pointing to everything bigger that is for- and because of- and a reflection of- God back. God It truly is about “Her.”. I wonder if Jesus likes clean tiles. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Lebanese Cedars - Ray's Blog.

Muahahahaha....: Sacred
http://stephbobb.blogspot.com/2010/12/sacred.html
Tuesday, December 07, 2010. The sacred. Tonight. We started small. Walking around my room, as I uncovered my heart, my treasures, my love for a cripple. A cripple I keep carrying before Jesus, as I limp. I wasn’t afraid. You didn’t belittle me. You wondered, asked, wanted to understand. I don’t understand. This moment-to-moment thing. Why I do and pray and insist on believing big things…borne out of so little…tears. Where the mustard seed germinates. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Deep Thoughts by P...
