Who runs the carnival? The Royal Wootton Bassett Carnival is organised and run by a very small group of volunteers. We do it because we love our town and want to ensure the Carnival continues to thrive. We all have ‘day jobs’ and give our time freely. What happens to the money collected on Carnival day? All money collected is used to fund the running of the Carnival. We usually manage to collect between 1,500 and 2,000 on the day. The Carnival costs around 4,500 to run, so every penny counts!
