Elizabeth C. Sheffler 1846. February 19, 2005. Elizabeth C. Sheffler b Oct 1846. Elizabeth married Henry W. Pope, an immigrant from Germany who arrived in 1872. Then in 1910 Hattie is nowhere to be found, and Elizabeth shows as having had 2 children, 1 still living. With them is "son" Albert, now 14. Elizabeth says she is 60 although she is actually about 64. Albert Pope registered for the draft in 1917 and listed his address as the same place he was raised, 120 Poplar Street. George Sheffler 1779 Pennsylvania. January 18, 2005. George Sheffler, for starters. George was born around 1779, based on his estimated ages culled from each census year in which he shows up. I say estimated because he and his offspring were pretty loose with the numbers. Pick a year, any year. So we've settled on calling him George 1779. "We", meaning "I", have chosen this date. John (Johannes) - His line is mostly found in New Alexandria and Indiana County. Frederick (Friederich) - Also stayed around G...

Sophia S. Sheffler Abt 1842: February 2005
http://sophiasheffler1842.blogspot.com/2005_02_01_archive.html
Sophia S. Sheffler Abt 1842. February 19, 2005. Sophia S. Sheffler b. about 1842. Sophia died by 1900 so her exact birth month is not available for that year's census. Sophia shows up in the 1870 census as Josaphine and in the 1880 census as Sophina, so her formal name could actually be Josephine or some variance of it. Posted by Don Sheffler at 6:06 PM. Sophia Sheffler married Griffith T. Clark, whose great-grandfather Abraham Clark was a signer on the Declaration of Independence. The family rem...
