Well, if you didn't know, I've been working as an English teacher for a Japanese middle school for the past two months. While doing this, I've basically tried to take advantage of any conceivable opportunity to using my drawing skills. They were painted with watercolor and were very fun to create. I just ate a lemon candy that my father brought from Peru and it was delicious! I've been enjoying a lazy Sunday today. It almost has a feel of nostalgia, that fuzzy brightness that comes in through the window and makes me feel relaxed and completely unproductive. Totally needed one of these days. Characters I love brought to life! Such a good poster!

Samu Raatikainen was born in Helsinki, Finland in 1971. In 1995 he moved to Spain for a year, and then lived in the UK for 14 years. He moved back to Finland in 2010 and now lives in Pori. He studied at The Free Arts School in Helsinki and completed a MA in Painting at Chelsea College of Art and Design in London in 1997. In 2003 he was nominated the Young Artist of the Year in Finland.
