Finishing Lines: notorious b.i.g bday
http://jaretts.blogspot.com/2013/05/notorious-big-bday.html
Wednesday, May 22, 2013. Notorious b.i.g bday. Yesterday was Notorious B.I.G's birthday, it would have been his 41st. I drew up this portrait of Biggie with his Jesus piece. Crazy and tragic to think he was only 24 when he passed, younger than myself. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Notorious b.i.g bday. View my complete profile.
Finishing Lines: September 2012
http://jaretts.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 26, 2012. If you've been seeing my picture around Calgary lately it's not a doppelganger. During the summer I was selected to be a part of the "Back to Style" campaign Downtown Calgary put on during September, which is now wrapping up. You can take a look at a short post about me on the downtown Calgary blog here. UPDATE: Aldona taps into my style and shares some nice words about me here. A couple gratuitous pictures of myself below that have been sent to me over the past month.

Art in Transit: February 2011

A project to document in paint the vehicles that have carried us through our region. Friday, February 4, 2011. Painting #5 – Exit Door Mirror. This photograph has always fascinated me, with all the ellipses and reflected type. If you are not quite sure what you are looking at, it is an image of the mirror above the rear door exit of a Brill, with a light fixture that has fallen open. I really enjoy painting images that are both abstract and representational. 48 x 36 inches. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Art in Transit: November 2010
http://cindybuckshon.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
A project to document in paint the vehicles that have carried us through our region. Thursday, November 25, 2010. I thought I would post another older image that I completed. This painting is of a destination sign lying crumpled on the floor of a Brill trolley. It is one of my favourite images; I have already painted two versions of it, and someday may do a third. I love, love, love painting type, so I guess that is why I enjoyed painting this one so much. Ink and coloured pencil on paper. Well, three we...

Observations from Sam | …general thoughts and ministry perspectives from a middle-aged ministry guy
8230;general thoughts and ministry perspectives from a middle-aged ministry guy. I wanna be just like you. April 21, 2008 in Family. I recently sat down with Cindy and made the following statement – “I’m becoming more like my dad each and every day”. The problem with that statement – I DO NOT WANT TO BE LIKE MY DAD. Are there days I regret this and seek to contact him? Most every day I do. I long to see my father accept me as I am today and to see his 2 grandsons, who have never known their grandfath...
