The Church of San Miniato al Monte. The facade of San Miniato al Monte. The first order of the facade was initiated in 1070 and finished in the 13 C with the glowing colours of the mosaic of Christ enthroned between the Madonna and St. Miniato. However, the marble intarsia (white from Carrara and green from Prato), with its strict geometrical design, is the most important element of the facade.
