This nonprofit takes in dogs that shelters deem un-adoptable or dogs are taken from homes that are known to be unsuitable environments. They also rescue kitties! Our chickens here at Sanctuary Farm are mixed breeds, most of which were brought to be re-homed here. They are free range and NEVER killed for any reason. They are fed a diet of food scraps from local restaurants and schools and whatever bugs and plants they forge as free range birds. We pick up thousands of pounds of food scraps (in blue barrels) every week! Because of their uniquely diverse diet, the eggs at Sanctuary Farm are nutrient dense!
