Sandra and I spent 4 days in Istanbul Turkey in December 2006. We stayed at a small hotel, The Ambassador, right in the middle of the old city once know as Constantinople before the conquest by the Ottoman Empire under Sultan Mehmed II on May 29, 1453. Prague, Czech Republic. Back to home page. Back to travel main page. After a short few days in Vienna we hopped the train to Prague, Czech Republic. This train trip we went with first class, reserved seating. The train was only half full and we had a very nice relaxing trip. Upon arriving in the Prague. Train station we were greeted by big signs warning about pickpockets. We had read about this and were careful. Once again we arranged for a room at the train station. This time the hotel.

Digital cameras are great, no need to worry about burning film up to get a good shot. We use two cameras on our trips. Our point and shoot camera is a Nikon Coolpic 4300. We have had the Coolpic now since 2002. Not quite a pocket camera but although it has a slow shutter response (shutter lag) it continues to take great pictures. The full size camera is a Nikon D70s digital SLR. With interchangeable lens, 28-80 and 70-300 both Nikon glass. Both cameras take outstanding pictures as you can see.
