Thakkali pachadi is the must accompaniment for kootan soru. In our home and it's my favorite pachadi. In my schooldays, i love to have parappu soru with this pachadi in my lunch box and all my friends also very fond of this pachadi, so i used to pack some extra pachadi for all of them. Each household in tamilnadu have their own recipe for sambar. This is our version, we dont add sambar powder in sambar which we make for rice, only add sambar powder in tiffen sambar.And also we never make sambar without coconut for lunch. And it's taste good with dosa or idly too. Cooking Time: 30 mins. Preparation Time: 10 mins. Toor Dal- 1/4 cup.

But here in US, still we couldnt find any restaurant to satisfy our "Parotta craving", so i used to make at home.Now on a bit healthier side, i used to make parottas with wheat flour,though it doesnt matches the taste of original parotta. We still like the layer in the wheat parotta and also i came to know that it's called as "Lachha Paratha" in North India. Wheat Parotta Lachha Paratha. Wheat flour - 2 cups.
