My Sacred Vocation: Mary & Gabriel
http://the3rsonline.blogspot.com/2012/12/mary-gabriel.html
Saturday, December 22, 2012. The girls wanted to reenact the birth of Jesus for us today, so Macy was director, Lily played Mary and Ava was Gabriel and the inn keeper. Joseph decided to play Legos instead, so it was what you would consider a "loosely based" rendition. Telling Mary the good news is quite humorous. The director was not amused. Merry Christmas to all of you. Mary is looking very gypsy/colorful like. I bet she looked just like your girls! Beautiful and full (literally) of promise! For the M...

My Sacred Vocation: February 2013
http://the3rsonline.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 10, 2013. For most of the day, my hubby took 4 of the kids out of the house while Macy and I did some major cooking. We stocked the freezer with 3 breakfasts, 17 suppers, and 4 loves of bread. We were exhausted by the end but I loved spending the time alone with her, helping her learn to cook and getting to find out what's on her mind. Notice Barbie photo-bombing the picture with her leg? Macy has glasses now. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Email me at amy1216@me.com.

Thinking Out Loud: May 2013
http://asteelersfamily.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
A look into our lives one thought after another. Tuesday, May 7, 2013. Things I've Learned from Hospice Part Three. I've prayed countless prayers not only for my patients and their families, but for me as their nurse. Prayers to know what to do, what to say. There is no training for this. There's no script. There's only compassion, and love, and care for what I do and those that I help take care of. Hospice isn't necessarily about dying. it's about living until you die. Links to this post. When I started...

Thinking Out Loud: Season of Lent
http://asteelersfamily.blogspot.com/2014/03/season-of-lent.html
A look into our lives one thought after another. Wednesday, March 5, 2014. I remember the very first mass I attended. Christmas Eve 1993. I remember fighting back the tears. I had never seen a Catholic service. My only knowledge of the Catholic church were the nuns that I had seen on The Sound of Music! There I was. newly married, still getting to know my husband's family, a non-Catholic sitting in a pew of a Catholic church in a very small town (need I say more? So, I made the plan to give it up for the...
