Trivandrum, Hauptstadt von Kerala, für uns aber nur Umsteigebahnhof zum Flug auf die Malediven. Bild: Sandra beim Einkauf am Busbahnhof. Sandra and Michael travelling again. Donnerstag, 31. März 2011. Kalpetta, oh du arme Bergwelt. Unsere erste Station in den Bergen sollte im Bundesstaat Kerala die Region Wayanad sein. Dort sei es laut Reisefuehrer naturtechnisch ganz toll und noch nicht so touristisch wie suedlicher. Wir suchten uns das Bergdorf Kalpetta raus, um von dort aus in das Wildlife Sanctuary zu starten. So zogen wir dann also los, mit einer halben Stunde Verspaetung, zehn Touris, 5 Ranger, einer mit ner alten Schrotknarre, wie es aussah.
