Wednesday, December 22, 2004. White v Letts v Hoggart. Can't find a link to this but this is the story so far. Hoggart denies being one of Kimberley's lovers. Hoggart admits to same. Meanwhile Hoggart has written a book on the subject of the dreaded Christmas Round Robin letters. Quentin Letts of Daily Mail fame (? Never knowingly relinquishes an opportunity to be snide and put the boot in) writes a spoof Round Robin letter. This was all in the Standard this evening and really livened up my journey home!

Sunday, May 29, 2005. Very upset this afternoon to be paged with the news that Patsy Calton had died. In my heart of hearts the news was unsurprising but none of us ever wants to believe the worst. Prior to this week's swearing in I had not seen Patsy since the "new intake" dinner in December 2004 (I am an honorary member of the 2001 intake). Ultimately though - all of this pales into insignificance. My thoughts are with Clive and family and the bottom line is that Patsy will be missed by many. Yesterday...

Wednesday, October 31, 2007. Lord Darzi has been a busy man. In three months he apparently visited and spoke to 1500 NHS staff in 17 organisations (it is not clear whether they had to listen or got to talk to him). Among other achievements he apparently met with 250 stakeholder groups. Many organisations were relatively obscure disease specific bodies which I had never heard of. Worthy stuff but my imagination was captured by the fact that he had met the Michael Palin Centre for Stammering. So, who next?
