The Dower House Hotel. Outside ceremony and marquee flowers. July 23, 2015. Vicky’s wedding was held at the family house with an outside ceremony and wedding breakfast in a marquee. For the ceremony the seats were straw bales covered for the comfort of the guests and the aisle was decorated with jars of flowers hanging from shepherd crooks. The Dower House Hotel. Displays for your reception (wedding breakfast) need to be either low, for your guests to talk over or tall enough for them to see and talk under. They can be as simple as a few stems in a bud vase, to tall martini vases bursting with flowers. Look at and work with the style of your venue, has it low or high ceilings, is there ornate wallpaper or are the walls plain, how light is it, what time of year? The groomsmen wore a single white carnation with large ruscus leaf while the groom had a sprig of gyp added to match his bride.

Becky had planned an informal garden reception at home and wanted this style to be apparent in her flowers. These were all tied together with natural raffia.
