Shambroa: Art and Images. A personal art blog. Sunday, April 27, 2008. I should note that I also did a good portion of this drawing while in transit on the Greyhound. What Do you See? This abstract pencil drawing has people seeing a cityscape through blades of grass, while others see a windy shipyard. All I know is that when I was making this drawing, I was very relaxed and focused with the task at hand. This was also done with my trusty Prang set of pencils. Ever look at lake water under a microscope?

I scraped away some of the paint and even some of the paper and mashed into the freshly deposited pigment, giving the image a texture that I liked. While I was working on a drawing that was not coming together for me, I started doodling on a separate paper, making the three white spaces. Alberta is known for its' prairies, but where I live the are many hills in the farmers' fields. Plenty of open rolling areas lined with dense bunches of bush.
