Azuki's Book Cafe. My Reading Journal – An Attempt to Conquer Mt TBR. Rescued: Saving Animals from Disaster. By Allen Anderson, Linda Anderson, John Ensign. That said, I was deeply moved by the dog who led the rescuers to his fellow pet bird and fish, and the poor pitbull who tried to chew the water bottles for some water. I also felt disgust about the man who didn’t want his dog back before it was neutered, or the murder of a school-roomful of pets. On May 17, 2007 at 8:52 pm Comments (1). Notify me of ...

Azuki's Book Cafe. My Reading Journal – An Attempt to Conquer Mt TBR. Getting Ready for Dewey’s Read-a-thon April 25, 2015. I read on the website that this is the 8th year of Dewey’s Read-a-thon, and it will be my 9th. Not bad, huh? I have to work both Sat and Sun morning this weekend, so that would cut into my reading time, but I plan to try my best! STAY AWAY FROM MY PHONE, for example. I had plans to go out for dinner, but when my friend texted me to cancel, boy, I’ve never been happier! You are comme...

Azuki's Book Cafe. My Reading Journal – An Attempt to Conquer Mt TBR. Dewey Read-a-thon April 25, 2015. Took a quick nap at 7pm for half an hour, then woke up and helped hubby prepare dinner. He was nice enough to do the cooking and washing, while I offered some token help, like mincing the garlic and laying the forks out on the table. Finished Brewing Up a Business, written by Sam Calagione, the head of Dogfish Head. It’s a shame that I was reading about beer but I couldn’t drink any! While I did not re...

Azuki's Book Cafe. My Reading Journal – An Attempt to Conquer Mt TBR. Getting Ready for Dewey’s Read-a-thon October 18, 2014. Just a sleep away from the read-a-thon! I missed April’s as I was travelling in Thailand on that day. True, I could read some books, but I figure it would be a terrible waste of a trip that could be once-in-a-lifetime. For any cheerleader and fellow Read-a-thon-ers, thank you so much for stopping by! Happy Reading to you all! On October 17, 2014 at 10:28 pm Comments (3). You are c...
