Torsdag, maj 10, 2012. Ruten 24/6 - 23/7. Den 24. juni ankommer vi til Los Angeles hvor vi er et par dage inden vi henter vores Motorhome. Her fra fortsætter vi til Lake Havasu, Grand Canyon, Anthelope Canyon / Lake Powell, Bryce Canyon og Zion inden vi ankommer til Las Vegas den 4. juli. Efter et par dage i Vegas tager vi til Lone Pine, Yosemite og San Francisco hvor vi skal aflevere vores Moterhome. Fra San Francisco fortsætter vi af Highway One i en "almindelig" bil (Chevrolet Tahoe). Ruten 24/6 - 23/7.

Lørdag, juli 07, 2012. Bryce, Zion og Las Vegas. Sent søndag aften ankom vi til Bryce – Ruby’s Inn, hvor vi skulle overnatte 2 gange. Det var en dejlig stor campingplads med en lækker pool, lige ved indgangen til Bryce Canyon. Efter at have set det flotte syn ud over de såkaldte ”hoodoos” oppe fra, besluttede vi at bestille en tur på hesteryg ned i selve området. Vi har for øvrigt lagt lidt flere billeder op på Skydrive. Tirsdag, juni 26, 2012. Ankomst LA - 1 dag forsinket. Vi ankom til LA kl. 16.00 den 25. juni og skulle derefter hente vores bil - det gik fint og nemt. Vi havde booket hjemmefra og kom hurtig igennem og da vi havde frit valg i hele område F, valgte pigerne en stor hvid Ford, med plads til 3 foran :-). Da det var gjort og Niels havde fået styr på håndbremsen, lavet som en fodbremse, kørte det fint. Nu er vi endelig kommet frem til hotellet og skal bare se dyner. Abonner på: Indlæg (Atom). Tirsdag havde vi en rigtig dejlig dag i Universal Studio - 9 timer, hvor vi fik en på opleveren, med rutsjebaner, Waterworld stuntsshow, special effektshow, behind-the-scenes Studio Tour, træning af Movie-Animals og meget mere. Efter frokost på ”Olive Oatman – Restaurant and Ice Cream Saloon” fik vi for første gang rigtigt testet hvad vores RV kan præstere i bjergene. Vi landede i Gran Canyon hen på aftenen, og nåede lige at se d...

Lørdag, juli 14, 2012. Lone Pine og Yosemite. Lørdag eftermiddag ankom vi til vores campingplads ved Lone Pine lige ved foden af Mt. Whitney. Sikke en ro i forhold til larmen i Las Vegas. Campingpladsen lå meget isoleret lige ned til en lille flod, hvor der var masser af fisk. Katrine og Karoline lavede fiskestænger af pinde, tandtråd og klemmer, men det kom aldrig rigtig til at lykkedes :-). Tirsdag forlod vi Yosemite og kørte mod San Francisco. Lørdag, juli 21, 2012. San Francisco, Highway 1, Hollywood, Disney og San Diego. Fredag hentede Karoline og jeg vores nye bil (en stor Nissan Amada SUV) mens Katrine og Lone tog på shopping. Det er ellers en fed bil med alt hvad der bimler og bamler - V8’er med over 300 heste, kørecomputer, bak sensor, bak kamera osv. osv. Den kunne man godt bruge der hjemme, bare ikke med de benzin priser vi har i Danmark :-). De sidste par dage skal bare bruges til at flade ud i solen og i poolen, inden vi vender næsen...
